How could you do this to me?!

This is a story that I've not told in a while, mainly because I'm slightly ashamed at how gullible I was and at my stupidity in hindsight and, most probably, that my dad gets in there before I do to embarrass me in front of anyone that has not yet heard it. So, I'm putting it out there for all to see and laugh at my one of my dumb moments! I must have been about 13 or 14 when my dad and I were in the car driving back from somewhere when he had to pop into his office to drop a document off of some sort. The place where he had to be was several floors up so we took the lift to get there. Once inside, my dad told me that I had to speak to the lift as it was voice-activated, so I said, "fifth...

Photo opportunity?

A week away in February in deepest darkest Pembrokeshire (nothing eventful likely to happen there!); a few walks in the freezing cold; a few pints procured to relieve the said cold weather; and yes, that should basically sum up the holiday. All was going well until the 14 of us, all wrapped up ready to face the Welsh weather resembling gnomes with our hats and scarves, rack up to what used to be a magnificent castle but now resembles a birthday cake gone wrong. The highlight of this pile of bricks; a 60ft deep well in the centre. So of course a few of us go, drawn to the big hole in the centre and within seconds are wondering how deep the hole really is, how many skeletons are down there ...

Sex and Swansea City

Over the last few weeks I have stood by and watched as my friends have been involved in break-ups, starting relationships or continue to be unhappy in their current relationships. But what interests me as someone who is single - is it worth it? Starting with the break-up, my friend recently suffered a kick in the teeth when her boyfriend decided that he didn't have enough time for her because of his workload; is this an excuse? I personally think this is just a shallow excuse of a man saying: "no offence, love but I'm bored, been there, done you and got the t-shirt", but obviously in a more discreet and tactful way. But what annoys me is despite the relationship being short should we be ...

Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is...my fan letter reply!

I can't believe my first post of the new year is going to be about a character from the TV series, Midsommer Murders but here it goes. When I was younger I loved nothing more than watching Midsommer Murders on a Sunday, the whole 'whodunnit' thing amazed me! I'm so stubborn I'd be determined to get the murderer right (as it happens I never got it right and reflecting on it, I may have wasted a lot of my childhood). Anyway long story short, I loved Sgt. Troy; he made the show! So what is the point of this blog, you may wonder? Don't worry I'm not gonna go on about how Midsommer Murders shaped my childhood and create a poll to see if anyone else liked it. I'm actually going to make a very, ...

'Naked' Skiing

Skiing naked is never advised and me and my friends being the smart lads we are compromised so it was only us in our boxers skiing down the Alps, genius! OK so it started in the pub as most of my blog posts will and we said how it would be funny to ski down the mountains in only our boxers. It started 4 days before the event and on the first day it was a joke, on the second it became more of a realisation, on the third day terms and conditions were discussed with both parties coming to an agreement and on the 4th day we did it. We were fine - my friend noel and I were going to be grand but poor jack our other friend had only been skiing for as long as the bet had been in talks which was o...
